A warm summers morning stretches across the park, the sound of birds chirping and grass rustling in the wind making for a peaceful morning. heading along long meadow path, Ground Ivy pokes up from in between Meres Tail. While Fern munches away on some grass, attempting to take on the job of 34 Hereford Cattle. I spot the tiny pin flowers of Cutleaf Geranium poking out from the taller vegetation. A bit further along buds are forming on a Privet tree, ready to flower soon. Pale pink Common Spotted Orchids are scattered among the grass, some just starting to go brown from the bottom up as they go into seed.

Down the coast path heading I spot a tall flowering stem with small purple flowers from Hedge Woundwort. Behind Woody Nightshade climbs up the branches of a young Willow.

Down in the Dell the Mock Orange is smothered in bright white blossom. Fushia and Hydrangea are in full bloom making a beautiful display of flowers. Down on caravan terrace a Kestrel hover over the grass, flying off as fern runs underneath it, deciding she’s probably too big of a meal.

The cliffs are a hub of activity with a large raft of Guillemots on the water. I’m joined by some other bird watches and as we watch the Fulmars elegantly swoop in and out, we discus the Puffins further along the coast at Dancing Ledge.

Further around a Peregrine Falcon patrols the top of the cliffs, heading back and forth. Two Ravens fly past over head calling to each other as they pass by. Below and a Shag fly’s past, the morning sun making its feather shine. To the edge of the path Periwinkle can be seen in flower as well as the pale pink flowers of Centaury.
