A week away and I come back to the park bursting with new life, everything seems to have doubled in size in the short week I have been away. The Hawthorn tree outside he learning centre is covered in white blossom appearing almost like its covered in snow. The verges are full of flowering Buttercups, Red Clover, and Daisies. The Dog wood lining the path into the woodland is covered in clusters of tiny whit flowers.

Down the path to the globe Oxeye Daises and in full flower towering over the grass and gently swaying in the breeze. Wild Clay in flower adds a splash of purple to the pallet, while Yellow Vetchling not quite in flower adds a pale green. The large leaves of a Burdock shade out anything nearby. At the bottom of the path just above the globe I spot a patch of three Bee Orchids in full flower.

Walking along the coast path below the globe Charlock in flower lines the path, while over the wall Sea Thrift can also be seen in flower. Flowering Honey Suckle creeps its way over the walls, the sweet scent of its flowers filling the air. Below in the water a large loose raft of Guillemots preens themselves or simply take a break from parental duties. Looking up towards the light house a carpet of Kidney Vetch in full flower, yellow flowers blanketing the slope.

Up to the light house road path a female and male Stone Chat stand proud on opposite sides or a large patch of scrub. The calls of White Throat and Skylark can be heard in the distance. I spot the Skylark hovering high over the adjacent field, while I don’t spot the White Throat until further along the path sitting atop a Blackthorn bush.
