Hemp Agrimony leaves had emerged beside a Centre wall. Entering the wildlife garden, I set up two Carrion Crows. Within the pond two Great Crested Newts and five Smooth Newts. One disappeared into the silt on the pond floor. A solitary Goldfinch was perched in a Sycamore. Throughout the morning Pheasant calls, followed by rapid wing beats were heard. Plenty of Hawthorn leaves were out whilst Blackthorn blossomed only. Elder showed leaves, and elsewhere flower buds were seen, another held dried Jelly Ear upon bark. Upon an Ant Hill, with bald patches, Biting Bittercress was present. Roe Deer slots were noted, and Gnats a head height were obvious!

In South Field a Sycamore sapling had travelled dome twenty metres from its parent in the Small Copse. A Dunnock watched from a hedgerow as Bumble Bees buzzed by. Signs of Fox were noted near the Hay Rake Quarr, as a Chiff Chaff called out.

The highlight was to discover Cowslips showing some yellow in Ox Eye and more so in Centenary meadows. Meanwhile, in the upper gully the miniature yellow flowers of Crosswort were enjoyed. Plenty of Skylark sounds were heard about the Meadows, whilst, as expected, so to were Robin and Blackbirds.

Herford cattle could be seen in Fields 1 and 2 thank to the viewpoint upon Eight Acres mound. Here upon the ground were plenty of fresh leaves and tendrils of a possibly Tufted Vetch. A Herring Gull flew eastward along the coastal ridge then down the gully.
