As I was leaving the castle yesterday, I had several reports of a broken abandoned wheelchair down by the light house. So, this morning I set out to find it and retrieve it. I was unable to find it, but it did dictate where I walked this morning. I started by walking down the light house road. Herring Gulls could be heard somewhere in the distance making a racket and Grasshoppers could also be heard all around.

As I entered the light house field two dancing Meadow Brown Butterflies could also be seen. Looking up to the ridge in the next field I could see the cows happily munching away of some grass, they had the best view for breakfast. As I kept on walking, I disturbed a Skylark off to my right who broke cover and flew off into the distance.

Further along the road I noticed a large Burdock that was going over turning brown. The large Velcro like seeds were very prominent on top just waiting for someone to come brush up against to be transported to a new location. As the sides of the path get taller down towards the gully. Brambles dangled tempting black berries in front of me at perfect picking height. Unfortunately, they are not quite ripe enough for eating yet, but I make a mental not to revisit when they are.

Jackdaws brake cover and flew over the gully meeting up with two others on their way and landing somewhere in the gully. Two Swallows zigzag past overhead. While a Black Bird darts out in front of me and disappearing into a Hawthorn.

Turning the corner from the bridge towards the light house the path is enclosed either side by flowering Clematis and the sound of Grasshoppers gets even louder for the few moments it takes to walk through this section. As I reach the front of the light house two ladies are doing some early morning yoga on the small grassy bit in front of the light house. What a great view for yoga first thing in the morning!

As I turn the corn to Tilly Whim, I spot a Peregrine Falcon being harassed by a group of four Herring Gulls. It then flies towards the castle where it is harassed again by even more Herring Gulls and is joined by another Peregrine Falcon. They then dart of flying towards the light house to escape the Herring Gulls.
